OJ McDuffie is a former professional American football player who was born on December 2, 1969 in Dublin, Georgia. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins from 1993 to 2001.
McDuffie played college football at Penn State University, where he was a standout receiver and return specialist. He was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 1993 NFL Draft and quickly became a key player for the team.
Throughout his career with the Dolphins, McDuffie was known for his reliable hands, crisp route-running, and ability to make tough catches in traffic. He was a favorite target of Dolphins quarterbacks Dan Marino and Jay Fiedler.
Unfortunately, McDuffie's career was cut short by injuries, particularly a toe injury that he sustained in 1999 and never fully recovered from. He was forced to retire in 2001 after multiple surgeries and was later inducted into the Miami Dolphins Honor Roll in recognition of his contributions to the team.
Since retiring from football, McDuffie has worked as a sports radio host and commentator, as well as a motivational speaker and youth mentor. He is also actively involved in charitable endeavors, including his own foundation that supports children in need.
